TroupeIT Terminology

Before diving in, here are the key terms you'll encounter:

Term	Definition
Company	Your production team—the collection of people putting on events together. Companies include producers, stage managers, tech crew, and performers. Each company can have multiple events.
Event	What you're producing. An event could be a single-night show or a multi-day festival with multiple stages. Events contain one or more shows.
Show	An individual performance. If you're producing a multi-day event with multiple stages, create a separate show for each day and stage combination.
Act	An individual performance piece within a show. Acts include technical information like music, lighting notes, prop requirements, and MC introductions.
Show Item	Items in the show schedule, including acts and notes (like intermissions, DJ sets, or section dividers).
Passet	Performance Asset—files associated with acts, such as music tracks, videos, or images.
